Holy Smoke

Worn by Ruth when she goes out clubbing with her friends to get away from the halfway hut, uder PJ's supervision. Consisting of a red top with black ruffled trim, green plaid skirt, and pair of friendship bracelets.

Worn when PJ and Ruth start fighting in the hut. Ruth gets the best of PJ, and then dresses him up as a woman. Consisting of a white flower tank top, and a pink and green shirt, used as a skirt. 

Worn by Ruth when she decides to run away from the halfway hut. Consisting of a dirty, blood stained top, brown bloody apron, Australian flag skirt, friendship braclets, and pair of book shoes. This costume matches up on screen exactly from when Ruth gets out the trunk of PJ's car until his hallucinations of her as a goddess begin.

Worn by Ruth when she travels with PJ to watch the cult videos as part of her rehabilitation. Consisting of a pink and green flower design shirt, and a green plaid skirt. Both of these pieces were used with other costumes seen later in the film. The shirt is used later on as a skirt back at the hut, and the skirt is used as part of Ruth's club costume.

Worn by Ruth as PJ hallucinates of her as a goddess towards the end of the film. Consisting of a shiny red and gold top, red sari with gold sequins, pink silk skirt, gold shoes, and a gold sequin covered head dress.

The koala bear seen throughout various parts of the film. Ruth holds this bear at her parents home in Austrailia, and is only one of two things she takes with her to the halfway hut (the other is her backpack). She can be seen with the bear again as she's driving out to her parents farm, and when she and PJ start to fight in the hut towards the end of the film. Ruth has a strong attachment to the bear as it helps comfort her. 

The backpack worn by Ruth in various scenes of the film. Ruth can first be seen wearing the backpack in India as she travels around with Yvonne, and later on when she leaves for the halfway hut. The backpack is the only item she takes along to the halfway hut besides her stuffed koala bear.

Here is the wallet Ruth can be seen with while in India when her mother visits and tries to talk her into coming home. The wallet is made of a shiny blue reflective material with images of fish and butterflies, depending on which way you hold the wallet.

This wallet has a very interesting story, as it was one of the items I received inside Clementine's grey bag from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The bag had several items in it including hair bands, make up, a toothbrush, etc. Well, upon opening the wallet there was a fake emergency ID card for someone in Dehli India. India is where the scene takes place in Holy Smoke that Ruth can be seen with this exact wallet. Somehow it made it's way off the Holy Smoke set and into the bag used for Kate's character in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind five years later.

The photo of Ruth in India, taken with a local that Yvonne shows to Ruth's parents. They don't even recognize Ruth until Yvonne tells them it's actually her in the picture.

Here are two photos seen on the mantle in Ruth's parents home. You can see the first photo of Ruth in the front row on the right hand side, and the one of Ruth with her parents in the back row on the far right hand side, in the screen cap below. The photo still has its backing, but has been removed from the frame. A nice set as these are real, original photos of Kate.
